Toll Priority Takes Flight at WTB

31 July 2018

Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport is pleased to announce that effective 30 July 2018 the Toll Group will have 5 weekly services linking Toowoomba to the Toll Priority domestic network.

“Freight volumes have been growing on the international service so it is timely that Wellcamp Airport are now able to offer a domestic freight service” says Robert Kasch, Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport Commercial Manager - Cargo.

“This new service will enable Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport to offer airport-to-airport time-critical freight services on a next available flight (or express overnight service) to most locations in Australia and major business centres in New Zealand”.

“The service is backed by an unrivalled air freight network, which enables Toll to deliver to almost every location in Australia” said Mr Kasch.

Toll’s airport-to-airport service offers:

  • access to hundreds of daily commercial and freighter aircraft movements;
  • the capability to monitor cargo during all phases of transport through to its final destination; and
  • time-critical delivery of spare parts, which include Aircraft on Ground (AOG) parts.

In Australia Toll also offer:

  • on airport facilities to service express cargo, domestic animalsincluding dogs, cats and live aquarium fish;
  • on airport chiller facilities in many locations for perishable cargo; and
  • staff that are fully accredited and certified to International Air Transport Association (IATA) dangerous goods standards.

The new domestic service offering will compliment the current international Cathay Pacific service, which links Toowoomba to the world via Queensland’s only scheduled 747-8 freighter operating from Toowooomba Wellcamp Airport to Hong Kong with connections to over 200 airports through the Cathay Pacific network.
