WELLCAMP WELCOMES QRAMP
28 January 2016
QantasLink customers will have safer and more convenient aircraft access with the introduction of the QRamp at Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport TODAY (January 28).
Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport general manager Mr Phil Gregory said he was thrilled the airport could offer customers the ‘QRamp experience’.
“Passengers will be able to board and disembark more quickly than if they were using the traditional stairs.
“The QRamp is also more inclusive for elderly travellers and passengers with disabilities,” said Mr Gregory.
QantasLink Chief Executive Officer John Gissing said the airline continued to look at ways to improve customer experiences.
“I’m delighted that we’re rolling out our newest ramp at Wellcamp Airport; we now have the QRamp deployed across the majority of our network and we are the only regional airline in Australia with this innovation,” Mr Gissing said.
“Not only will it improve the experience by making it easier for all of our customers to board and disembark, it will also improve on time performance by making the boarding process quicker and easier.
“While all customers will be able to use the ramp, it will importantly benefit our customers with specific needs.”
QantasLink currently operates 26 services a week between Toowoomba and Sydney.
