Australia’s newest airport, Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport (WTB) is the aviation gateway connecting Toowoomba and south-west Queensland to the world.
Developed and operated by global construction company Wagners, WTB is the first greenfield public airport built in Australia in 50 years and the nation’s first privately funded public airport.
With regular direct flights to Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns and beyond, the airport is opening business, tourism and freight opportunities for the Toowoomba region.
Located just 25 minutes from Toowoomba’s CBD, the airport is the gateway to
- one of Australia’s hot spots for investment and industry
- the south western Queensland mining hub
- Australia’s second largest agricultural basin
- one of Queensland’s major precincts for health, education and manufacturing
Our catchment area is the 11th largest in Australia with a population of more than 344,000 people. It includes most of south-western Queensland from Ipswich in the east, Kingaroy to the north, west to Miles and south to Goondiwindi and Tenterfield.
